Nils Rodekamp began his higher academic career in the fields of art history, psychology and philosophy at the Freie Universität in Berlin. After a period he started to study Visual Communications at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. In 2001 he received his diploma under the direction of F.C. Gundlach with a photographic interpretation of the Seven Deadly Sins.
